How long will you stay at the museum, and what will you be working with? Can you very briefly explain to the laymen what your research is about?

I stayed at the museum for a week and worked with the skeletal great ape material. In particular, I focused on the collection of Gorilla beringei beringei from the Virunga Mountains.

Help our researchers! Participate in a citizen science day about fossils and plants, The event will take place Saturday 20 May at Swedish Museum of Natural History.

4-5 May there was a National Collection meeting at Swedish Museum of Natural History where Stefan Daume, Steffen Kiel and Johannes Lundberg talked about a crowdsourcing project finanzed by Synthesys. Title: Collection digitization and crowdsourcing - a case study.

The aim of the project is to get help from the public to transcribe photographed labels via Notes for Nature.
